ASELORA Wildflower Honey captures the diversity of the Hungarian countryside in a single jar. Where our acacia honey is defined by one blossom, wildflower honey is gathered from the many flowers that bloom across meadows, orchards and field edges through the season, so every harvest carries its own nuance.
The result is a richer, more complex honey and a natural expression of the variety of nature, certified organic and made in Hungary.
Wildflower honey is multifloral: the bees gather nectar from many different blossoms as the season moves on, from meadows and orchards to wild plants along field edges. Unlike single-flower acacia honey, its composition follows whatever is in bloom, so no two harvests are exactly alike. That variety is its character: a honey that reflects a whole landscape rather than a single plant.
Its colour ranges from light to deeper amber, depending on the flowers of the year. The taste is fuller and more rounded than acacia honey, with a characteristic honey aroma. Wildflower honey crystallises sooner than acacia, turning creamy and opaque over time. This is a natural process and a sign of real honey; to make it liquid again, warm the jar gently in a water bath, below 40 °C.
Our wildflower honey comes from the Nyírség, the sandy plain of north-eastern Hungary that is also home to ASELORA in Nyírbátor. It is certified organic by Biokontroll Hungária (HU-ÖKO-01), checked for moisture and HMF, free from the 14 major food allergens, gluten-free and GMO-free.
Its fuller flavour stands up to stronger partners: herbal and black teas, cheese boards and warm breads, porridge, granola and home baking. Add it to warm, not hot, drinks to keep its natural character. Retailers, cafés and other trade buyers can request a quote for wildflower honey.
